Par le monde
Par le monde
Founded in 2013, Par Le Monde is a charity that aims to form links between students in France and elsewhere in the world, particularly those that are socially or geographically isolated. Thanks to an innovative, inclusive use of digital technologies, the charity’s initiatives provide students and teachers with the means to connect and learn to live together.
In 2014, Par Le Monde launched the Voyage du Pelico project, an international digital communication network for children.
In order to deploy this initiative on a larger scale, they created the “1Village” project. This is a 100% digital extension to the Voyage du Pelico project: a video sharing network which creates links between students across the globe.
PROGRAMS SUPPORTED BY THE KEYRUS FOUNDATION
An augmented, infinitely replicable version of the 1Village project offers a digital network (web + mobile apps) which allows classes to autonomously create high-quality videos, comparing and contrasting their daily lives and cultures with others. Challenges, puzzles and working together to create content run throughout these multilateral exchanges between small classes.
Together, they build their ideal village, representing an opportunity to question each other about the challenges and aims of Sustainable Development.
The objective of this programme is to develop key skills among the citizens of tomorrow: the ability to question oneself, take a step back, empathise with others and create something together.
This digital, social project targets the Keyrus Foundation’s priority issues.
