Scouts and Guides of France are signatories of the diversity charter, which promotes diversity and inclusivity.
The Keyrus Foundation supported the “Scouting in Priority Neighbourhoods” project in Marseille, by allowing children from underprivileged areas to take part in the “Destination Connect 2019!” event, which brought together 19,000 11-14 year olds from 900 scout groups across France from 22nd to 26th July 2019, to learn about digital education.

I have been a volunteer with Scouts and Guides of France (SGDF) for 10 years, including 4 years in Marseille, where we are promoting scouting in low-income areas. We would like to encourage social diversity within the organisation, by making it more accessible to young people who don’t have access to the same opportunities as their peers, so that they can benefit from everything scouting has to offer. For me, scouting is a wonderful way to learn, and is full of amazing experiences.
This summer, Scouts and Guides of France organised a digital education event for 11-14 year olds, called “Connect!”. We wanted our children from low-income families to be able to take part and, with the Keyrus Foundation’s support, all children were able participate. This was a fantastic, enriching experience for them, full of new discoveries.
As a volunteer and a consultant, I appreciate the feeling of being supported in these projects, and the knowledge that the Keyrus Foundation shares my values. I am grateful to the Keyrus Foundation for taking an interest, and for its support.
